Mining projects with Fault Rocks

TER works as an associate to Fault Rocks Inc, a Vancouver-based structural geology consultancy led by Dr. Matias Sanchez. Since 2025, selected mining assignments have been carried out through Fault Rocks, with Gemma contributing to geological interpretation and 3D modelling.

Fault Rocks is the main mining consultancy partner. Their expertise covers structural geology for mineral exploration, 2D and 3D interpretation, geophysical interpretation, remote sensing, lithogeochemistry and mineral-systems thinking for exploration targeting.

Their services include structural field mapping, satellite and DEM interpretation, GIS spatial analysis, magnetic, gravity, geoelectrical and electromagnetic data interpretation, oriented core and televiewer analysis, 3D geological and structural modelling, seismic interpretation, and cross-section balancing/restoration.

The map below shows only selected locations where Gemma has contributed through Fault Rocks-related assignments or TER research work. It does not represent the full Fault Rocks project portfolio.

Training and teaching

Teaching and specialised training for geoscientists, students and technical teams, focused on geological modelling, hydrogeology and subsurface workflows.

Master in Hydrogeology and Modelling

University of Barcelona programme, with collaboration from IDAEA‑CSIC. Teaching contribution focused on geological modelling.

Executive Master in CO₂ Recovery

Universidad Nebrija. Teaching geophysical exploration and electrical methods within the CO₂ recovery master.

Bothroi project

Interactive training project for exploration courses, turning exploration and targeting into a competition. Participants learn to integrate geological, geophysical and geochemical datasets into exploration decisions and 3D modelling workflows. Developed jointly with Dr. Diego Dominguez‑Carretero.

TER is also a Seequent associate for Leapfrog training, and works as an associate to Fault Rocks Inc on selected mining projects.
